Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate the master's and doctoral programs in mathematics education in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Education University of Aden from the point of view of faculty members and graduate students from the two programs.
The research sample consisted of a sample of (6) professors and (23) graduates, and the descriptive survey approach was used, and a monitoring list was used to evaluate the reality of the two programs, and a questionnaire to evaluate the two programs from the point of view of faculty members and graduate students.
The monitoring form showed the availability of one set of criteria and the absence of others.The arithmetic averages were used to find out the availability of standards from the point of view of the research sample, and the results showed an average of 3.24, which means that the level of the two programs is average from the point of view of faculty members and graduate students, as the axes of the curriculum (courses) and scientific research and scientific supervision occupied the highest evaluation ratio with averages of 3.45 and 3.58 respectively, i.e. they are located at the high level, while the evaluation of the axes: Need for program, admission and registration, teaching and learning, students and graduates, and faculty members are at the intermediate level, while the learning resources, facilities and equipment axis received a poor rating of 2.46.
The results of the research also showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the evaluation of faculty members and graduate students of the reality of the two programs.
