Abstract

This research aimed at identifying the educational supervisors' level of evaluation of the teaching competencies of the students practicing in the schools in (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics) specializations. To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher prepared a questionnaire consisted of (32) items distributed to four areas (lesson planning, class management, lesson implementation, learning assessment). The sample of the study composed of (45) academic staff (students' supervisors). The research was applied in the first semester of the university year 2023-2024. After processing the data statistically, the findings are as follows: each area of the four areas and all areas in general obtain a medium level which ranges between (2.34-1.68) as specified in this research. There are statistically significant differences at a significant level (α=0.05) between the means of the educational supervisors in the competencies of (lesson planning, class management) attributed to sex variable while there are no statistically significant differences in (lesson implementation, learning assessment, teaching competencies in general) attributed to sex variable. There are no statistically significant differences in the educational supervisors' evaluations of the competencies of lesson planning, implementation, assessment, and teaching competencies in general, due to specialization variable. There are statistically significant differences between the educational supervisors' evaluations of the competency of class management attributed to specialization variable which is for the students of Biology. In light of the findings of the research, the researcher presents a number of recommendations and suggestions.
