Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the level of practice by heads of departments for the dimensions of transformational leadership in the colleges of Education, Ataq and Bayhan, Shabwa University. From the point of view of the faculty members. The community of the study consisted of all faculties' members in the colleges of education, Ataq and Bayhan. The number of the participants were (185) distributed among (130) members at faculty of Education Ataq, and (55) of at the Education Bayhan, and this is based on the last statistician's records of the members in 2023. A stratified random sample was chosen, consisted of (65%) individuals distributed among (70) members from the faculty of education at Ataq and (50) members from the faculty of education Bayhan. The researchers used a descriptive survey in order to collect the data of this study; the questionnaire was used to collect the information. The items of the questionnaire consisted of (35) items and was statistically analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program. The researchers found these results as follow:

First: the level of practice of the dimensions of transformational leadership by the heads of the departments in the colleges of educations at both of Ataq and Bayhan at Shabwa University from the point of view of the sample members was high. The general arithmetic average for the level of practice reached (3.618), and the dimensions were arranged as follows: (individual considerations, ideal influence, attractiveness and inspirational stimulation) on the other hand, mental stimulation with a moderate level of practice was with moderate level. Second: there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) in the respondents’ estimates about the level of practice of heads of the departments. This is in the dimensions of (individual considerations) attributed to a college variable, in favor of the college of education Ataq, and in the dimension (inspirational motivation); and this is due to the variable of the years of service, in favor of the category between (10-20 years).
