Abstract

The field study aimed to identify the extent to which Yemeni university leaders are interested in achieving sustainable development goals in academic programs, student outcomes, human and financial resources, community partnerships, and service delivery. The study also aimed to determine the statistical significance at a 0.05 level. Regarding Yemeni universities' interest in achieving sustainable development goals attributed to independent variables, researchers employed a descriptive analytical approach, observation, and a questionnaire distributed to 78 University of Aden and University of Science and Technology academics during the 2024-2025 academic year in Aden governorate. The study concluded that there is a moderate level of interest among Yemeni public and private universities in achieving sustainable development goals in general. The highest level of interest is in sustainable development programs for students, followed by interest in partnerships with community institutions, then interest in sustainable development among university leaders, then interest in human resources, then interest in academic programs and scientific research, and finally, interest in financial resources and infrastructure on which the university is based.
