The Extent of Using Procedural Research by Biology Teachers at the Secondary Level in the city of Aden

Abstract

The aim of the current research is to identify the extent of using procedural researches  by biology teachers in the secondary stage in the city of Aden. To achieve the aim of the research ,the descriptive survey method was applied  and a questionnaire was used as a research instrument after ensuring its validity and reliability. The questioner was distributed to a random sample of (30) teachers who teach biology subject in the secondary stage within the city of Aden. The results of the research revealed  that the degree of using procedural research skills was (very low) generally. The skill of sensing and identifying the research problem ranked in first place with a (low ) degree, Meanwhile, the skill of implementing research procedures ranked in second place with a (low) degree ,however, the skill of gathering information ranked in third place with a (very low) degree, while the skill of writing a research report ranked in fourth place with a (very low) degree, Furthermore, The skill of preparing procedural research plan ranked in fifth place with a (very low) degree .One of the most important recommendations was issuing a reviewed and periodical magazine by the Ministry of Education that includes teachers’ procedural researches.
