Abstract

The research aims to identify the level of practicing the strategic intelligence in achieving competitive advantage among academic leaders in the faculties of University of Aden and reveals if there are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) between the responses of participants. In order to achieve the research objectives, the two researchers used the descriptive analytical method (survey), and they also conducted the questionnaire which consisted of two sections: the first section included personal data, and the second section included the fields and paragraphs of the questionnaire which are (30) items distributed over two axes and (6) combined dimensions, as the two researchers relied upon the research sampling which consisted of all academic leaders in six faculties included in the research. Totally they are (50) participants. The questionnaire distributed to all participants and after statistical processing, the results indicated that the level of practicing the strategic intelligence among academic leaders in its three dimensions came at the level of (average) practice, as the general arithmetic mean for the strategic intelligence axis reached (3.21) and the results showed that the general arithmetic mean for the competitive advantage axis reached (3.13) and this indicates that the level of achieving competitive advantage in its three combined dimensions is at the level of 'average practice', The overall result of the study was strategic intelligence and competitive advantage with an arithmetic mean of (3,17),which is an average score according to the scale adopted in the research. and the results showed that there were no differences statistical significance level of (0.05) in the opinions of the research participants towards (strategic intelligence) and (competitive advantage) attributed to gender, academic title, job title, and practical experience) among academic leaders in the faculties of University of Aden.
