The Extent to which English Language Books for the Basic Stage in the Republic of Yemen Include Linguistic Skills Compared to English Language Books for the Intermediate Stage in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

This study aimed to find out the extent to which English language books for the basic stage in the Republic of Yemen include language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) compared to English language books for the intermediate stage in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method, following the method of content analysis in his analysis of these books, and prepared an analysis list to find out the extent to which language skills (listening, speaking, writing, and reading) are included in the English language books for the primary stage in the Republic of Yemen and the English language books for the intermediate stage in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. After verifying the validity and reliability of the analysis list, the study reached the most important results:1. The English language books for the basic stage in Yemen contained fewer skills than the English language books for the intermediate stage in Saudi Arabia.2. There are statistically significant differences between the skills included in the English language books for the basic stage in Yemen and what is included in the English language books for the intermediate stage in Saudi Arabia, where the differences were in favor of the English language books for the intermediate stage in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.3. There is a positive statistically significant correlation at the level (0.001) between the language skills in the English language books in the two countries.4. There are statistically significant differences between the skills, due to the variable of the type of skill, and they were in favor of the skills of reading and writing as basic skills in both countries. There are statistically significant differences between the skills, due to the academic level variable. In Yemen, it came in favor of the ninth and eighth levels.
