Abstract

The aim of the current study is to measure the impact of the adaptive electronic test pattern in developing students' attitudes and using it in education. To achieve the study objectives, an adaptive electronic test was designed. The participants of the study consisted of 200 first-year students from five colleges at Adel University for the academic year 2023/2024. A scale was developed to measure students' attitudes towards computerized tests consisting of fourty five paragraphs distributed into three axes, using a five-point Likert scale. The results of the study showed that positive attitudes among students towards computerized tests and a positive correlation between students' attitudes towards computerized tests and their cumulative average. Based on gender variable, the results also revealed no significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) on the role of the adaptive electronic test preparation program from the point of view of Al-Adel University students in improving the level of academic achievement and their attitudes towards its use in education. Additionally, the results showed that both male and female students share similar views on the use of adaptive electronic tests and their impact on academic achievement, university students’ satisfaction with the adaptive test, and the extent of the student's ability to interact with the program interface. Based on the results, the study proposed some recommendations related to the adaptive electronic tests to explore students’ attitudes in other university colleges.
