Psychological Stress and Its Relationship to Quality of Life Among Students at Lahj University

The aim of the present study was to investigate the psychological stress and quality of life among students of Lahj University in Yemen.
Hypothesis:
1/ There is a relationship between psychological stress and quality of life among students of the Faculties of Education at Lahj University.
2/ There are statistically significant differences in the psychological stress among students of the Faculties of Education at Lahj University according to the gender variable.
3/ There are statistically significant differences in quality of life among students of the Faculties of Education at Lahj University according to the gender variable.
Sample: For the present purpose 80 students among them (40 males and 40 females) were selected by purposive sampling method.
Tools: The following tools were applied:
1- Holmes test to measure psychological stress.
2- Quality of Life Scale prepared by Mahmoud Mansi and Ali Mahdi Kazem.
Result: showed that:
- There is a negative correlation between psychological stress and quality of life.
- There are statistically significant differences in psychological stress according to the gender variable (male, female) in favor of males.
- There are no statistically significant differences in the quality of life according to the gender variable (male, female).
