Abstract

This research aims to introduce the methodology of a Muslim sect, the Mu'tazila. This sect was dominant for a period of time and received support from the political authorities of their time, which contributed to the spread of their ideas throughout the arious regions of the Islamic state. I have divided the research into an introduction, two chapters, and a conclusion.

   The first section is devoted to defining the Mu'tazila from their inception, through their period of strength, then their weakness and disappearance. The second section is devoted to explaining their approach to reception and their approach to reasoning, followed by a conclusion that includes the results I have reached.
