The Secondary School Teachers in Aden Governorate

This study aimed to know the level of psychological security and its relationship with the secondary school teachers' job performance in Aden Governorate, and to find out the individual differences based on the variables of sex, qualification, experience, and district. In order to collect the data and information of this study, the researcher designed a scale composed of two domains which were the psychological security and the job performance. The sample of the study consisted of (195) male and female secondary school in Aden Governorate. The study was concluded with the following findings: - The level of psychological security of the secondary school teachers in Aden Governorate is medium, and the level of the performance is great, according to the estimates of the sample of the study. - There is a weak inverse relationship at a significant level (α=0.01) in the responses of the secondary school teachers in Aden Governorate on the psychological security and performance scales. - There are no statistically significant differences in the psychological security and the performance attributed to the variable of the teacher' sex (male-female). - There are no statistically significant differences in the psychological security between the secondary school teachers. However, there are statistically significant differences in the job performance which are due to the qualification variable, and they are in favor of the teachers who hold master degrees. - There are no statistically significant differences in the job performance, whereas there are statistically significant differences in the psychological security attributed to the experience variable, and they are for the teachers with more than ten years of job experience. There are no statistically significant differences in the psychological security between the secondary school teachers attributed to the district variable, whereas there statistically significant differences in the job performance due to the district variable, and they are in favor of the secondary school teachers in the Sheikh Othman District.
