Among the most prominent topics of grammar principles is the interest in studying the rules of weighting between these principles, and presenting one principle over another for a number of reasons or rules. This research was concerned with studying the rules of weighting in the origin of hearing, and was concerned with some applications, in which there was disagreement over parsing. We have presented five linguistic examples, discussing the presumptive rules in them, and explaining our opinion about them.
The research aimed to study these rules, discuss them, and present the grammatical lesson in an objective, scientific manner. The descriptive approach has been applied by studying these rules in an inductive and analytical study.
The research concluded with a presentation of the results that we reached, the most important of which is: the reliance of ancient scholars on the rules of other principles when studying the rules of weighting in the origin of hearing. In addition to the differences in opinions among scholars regarding the weighting rules, due to the differences in the scope and subject of the book. There are also gaps in Al-Anbari’s opinions about the rules of hearing. These results highlighted the importance of objectively studying weighting rules, discussing and refuting the opinions of ancient scholars, and the necessity of taking into account the methodological differences of ancient scholars and studying those differences.
