Abstract

The study aimed to identify the degree to which senior administrative leaders at the Ministry of Education in the Republic of Yemen practice administrative processes, namely planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluation, from the perspectives of directors and department heads. It also sought to examine statistically significant differences according to the variables of gender, academic qualification, leadership level, and years of experience.

The study adopted the descriptive-analytical approach. The study sample consisted of 125 educational leaders, who were selected from the entire study population due to its relatively small size. Data were collected using a questionnaire comprising 69 items distributed across the five domains. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were verified, and the data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).

The results showed that the overall degree of practice of administrative processes was moderate. The directing domain ranked first with the highest mean score, followed by planning, organizing, controlling, and finally evaluation. Furthermore, no statistically significant differences were found attributable to most of the study variables, except for gender in the domains of organizing, directing, and controlling, where the differences were in favor of males.

The study recommended strengthening administrative practices and developing the competencies of administrative leaders, particularly in the domains that demonstrated relatively lower levels of practice.
