The Reality of the Implementation of Incentives and Rewards Among Heads of Academic Departments in the Faculties of University of Aden and its Relationship to their Administrative Performance

The study aimed to identifying the reality of the implementation of incentives and rewards among heads of academic departments in the faculties of University of Aden. and its relationship with their administrative performance, through identifying the levels of implementation of incentives and rewards, the existence of obstacles to their implementation, and the administrative performance of heads of academic departments, and finding out any significant statistical differences among the average responses due to the study variables. The study sample consisted of (100) department heads in all faculties of University of Aden. A questionnaire was developed with three main axes. The results showed that there were low level of the implementation of incentives and rewards, high level of the obstacles to the implementation, and high level of the administrative performance of heads of academic departments, and there was a weak positive correlation between the implementation of incentives and rewards and the administrative performance. Regarding statistical differences in the implementation of incentives and rewards level, for the faculty type variable, there were differences in one of the fields and the main axis in favor of humanities faculties, for number of years of experience variable, there were differences in levels of two fields and the main axis in Favor of 5 to 10 years. Regarding differences in the existence of obstacles level, for the faculty type variable, there were differences in the main axis in Favor of humanities faculties. According to these results, several conclusions, recommendations, and suggestions were drawn.
