Abstract

This study aims to identify the role of the Police Academy in developing leadership skills both personal and interpersonal among graduates of the Police College in Hadramawt. The study employed a descriptive-analytical methodology and utilized a questionnaire consisting of 28 items, distributed to a sample of 235 officers selected according to the Steven Thompson formula from a population of 602 officers.

The results showed that the Academy's role in developing leadership skills was high, with an average score of 4.19. Personal and interpersonal skills also achieved high average scores of 4.44 and 4.34, respectively. The results further indicated statistically significant differences attributable to the nature of the work, specialization, academic qualification, and rank.

The study recommends strengthening leadership training programs and updating the Academy's curricula to align with field needs.
