Abstract

This study aimed to identify the level of classroom management skills practiced by members of the General Secondary Education Council, from the perspectives of teachers and educational administrators in Aden Governorate. It also sought to determine whether statistically significant differences exist with respect to the variables of job title and gender.

To achieve this, the researcher employed the descriptive analytical method and administered a questionnaire, validated for reliability and accuracy by a panel of specialists in educational administration at the University of Aden. The instrument consisted of 12 items and was analyzed using appropriate statistical techniques.

The findings revealed that the overall level of management skills practice among Council members was moderate. Statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level were found in one dimension of the tool motivation and performance evaluation in favor of males. The results also indicated that management skills related to planning and organization were practiced at a high level, whereas skills related to performance evaluation were practiced at a low level. No statistically significant differences were observed with respect to gender.

The study concluded that educational administrators’ interest in developing their management skills played a key role in enhancing the overall level of practice. It recommended greater attention to strengthening administrative skills among Council members, particularly in the area of performance evaluation.
