Abstract

This study aimed to know the level of relationship between the parental treatment styles and the behavioral problems of the basic school pupils who have been affected by the war in Dahel Governorate, and the differences in the level of relationship between the parental treatment styles and the behavioral problems due to sex variable. To achieve these objectives, the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach and the questionnaire of two parts: scale of parental treatment styles, and the second part: scale of behavioral problems of the basic school pupils. The questionnaire was applied to a study sample of (310) male and female pupils distributed in five schools including two districts (Dhale District and Qataba District) out of six liberated districts in Dhale Governorate.    The most important findings of the study: There is a statistically negative significant effect at a significant level (0.05) between the parental treatment and the behavioral problems of the basic school pupils who have been affected by the war in Dhale Governorate. It means that the more parental treatment is positive/acceptance, the less are the behavioral problems of the basic school pupils who have been affected by the war whereas when the parental treatment is considered rejection, it increases the behavioral problems. There are no statistically significant differences at a significant level (0.05) between the means of the parental treatments and the behavioral problems of the basic school pupils who have been affected by the war in Dhale Governorate which us attributed to sex variable (male/female).
