This study aimed to design an electronic system for the management of university theses at the Library of the Faculty of Education – University of Aden. The system includes functionalities for storing, organizing, facilitating access to, and improving retrieval mechanisms of theses, with the goal of enhancing the quality of information services provided to users. The system was developed using modern web technologies (such as HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL), based on the library’s requirements and the needs of its users. The study population consisted of postgraduate students enrolled in the master’s and doctoral programs at the Faculty of Education, University of Aden, during the academic year 2024–2025. The total number of participants was 124 students from various disciplines in natural sciences and humanities. A questionnaire was used to measure users’ satisfaction with the system. It included 26 items distributed across three dimensions: design and organization, accessibility, and interactivity, utilizing a five-point Likert scale. After verifying the validity and reliability of the instrument using appropriate statistical methods, the questionnaire was administered to the sample, and data were analyzed using SPSS software. The results indicated that the system is highly effective in managing university theses, receiving very high ratings across all measured dimensions. Furthermore, no statistically significant differences were found in responses attributed to variables such as gender, age, or academic qualification. The study recommended expanding the application of the electronic system to cover all faculties at the University of Aden and connecting the system to the Internet to ensure remote access for students and researchers, thereby facilitating access to theses and enhancing their utilization.
