The Problems Facing Yemeni Community Colleges and Strategies to Overcome them a Case Study of Aden and Seiyun Community Colleges

The current study aimed to identify The problems facing Yemeni community colleges and ways to overcome them from the perspective of their members in Aden and Seiyun community colleges. The study sought to answer the following main question: What are the most important problems facing Yemeni community colleges from the perspective of their members، and how can these problems be overcome from their perspective? This led to the formulation of the study's research questions.
To answer these questions and achieve the study's objective، the researcher adopted a descriptive-analytical method. Through this method، the researcher described the obstacles and challenges facing the targeted Yemeni community colleges in the study، analyzed their data، examined the relationship between their components، the opinions expressed about them، the processes involved، and the effects they generate. A questionnaire was designed consisting of six main sections to answer the research questions. It was administered to a sample of 179 individuals selected using the systematic random sampling method from all academic and administrative staff members affiliated with Aden and Seiyun community colleges. The original population consisted of 357 academic and administrative staff members in Aden and Seiyun community colleges. The sample size for the study was determined to be 50% of the population، representing 77 academic staff members and 102 administrative staff members.
After analyzing the data using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS)، The study yielded the following key results:
1. Yemeni community colleges face significant problems related to buildings and facilities.
2. There are high-level problems in Yemeni community colleges concerning programs and academic departments.
3. Faculty members in Yemeni community colleges face multiple problems at a high level.
4. The study revealed high-level problems related to the administrative body facing Yemeni community colleges.
5. The study indicated that Yemeni community colleges face multiple problems related to enrolled students at a high level.
The study confirmed the multiplicity of problems facing Yemeni community colleges in various fields، with administrative problems ranking first، followed by problems related to the teaching staff in second place، then problems related to buildings and facilities in third place، problems related to enrolled students in fourth place، and finally problems related to programs and academic departments in those colleges.
