Abstract

This study was aimed at identifying the role of Hadramawt University in the service of the community from the viewpoint of the faculty. The researcher used the analytical descriptive curriculum. The study community is 126 members. The sample of the study consisted of 44 members, selected in a random manner. The identification was used as a tool for study. The study reached a number of results.

The role of Hadramawt University in the service of the community from the point of view of the faculty in all fields has achieved an intermediate degree. The consultant field was ranked first and very medium, and last in the field of support and economic growth and medium.

The results of the study resulted in no statistically significant differences at the indicative level (0.05) attributable to the variable type and scientific class. The researcher recommended that the relationship and communication between the university and the community institutions be further documented, that the role of the university centres be activated, that funding be increased for the university, and that scientific research be linked to society's problems.
