Psychosocial Support and its Relationship to Psychological Stress (A field study on a sample of Faculty of Education students, Zinjibar, Abyan University)

The research aimed at identifying the relationship between psychosocial support and psychological stress as well as identifying the differences in the research sample estimations in terms of (gender, academic level, specialization). The research community consisted of (500) male and female students from the Faculty of Education Zinjibar at Abyan University and the research sample consisted of (205) male and female students at a rate of (41%) of the research community. The researchers followed the descriptive analytical approach. In order to achieve the research objectives, the researchers designed two research instruments which they are the psychosocial support and psychological stress scale
The results of the study reached to the following findings :
1. There is an inverse correlation between psychosocial support and psychological stress.
2. There are no statistically significant differences at a significant level (0.05) between psychosocial support and psychological stress in terms of (academic level and specialization).
3.There are statistically significant differences at a significant level (0.05) between psychosocial support and psychological stress in terms of the gender variable (in favor of males).
The study concluded with a number of recommendations and suggestions.
