The phenomenon of diminutive formation in the Dathinah dialect is one of the most prominent morphological phenomena worthy of study. This research focused on tracking and studying this phenomenon in a comparative study with Classical Arabic, with a comparison to other some Semitic languages whenever possible.
The research results showed aspects of similarity between the dialect and Classical Arabic, the importance of studying morphological issues through modern methods and theories, and clarified the main role of Kasrah in the diminutive structure.
