Abstract

The present study aimed to explore the extent to whichh the prevailing organizational culture contributes to achieving job satisfaction among heads of scientific departments at the University of Lahij. The study population consisted of (47) department heads, and the study sample included all heads of scientific departments in the university’s colleges. To achieve the study’s objectives, the researcher used a questionnaire that included two variables: organizational culture as an independent variable with Its four dimensions (organizational values, leadership style, teamwork, and organizational communication), and job satisfaction as the dependent variable. The questionnaire contained (24) items, and Its validity and reliability were verified using appropriate educational and statistical methods. Data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The study reached the following conclusions:

 - There is a strong, positive, and statistically significant correlation between organizational culture and job satisfaction Where the correlation coefficient value was (0.919 = R).

- The overall perception of the prevailing organizational culture at the University of Lahij, from t”e perspective of the heads of scientific departments, is at a hi”h level.

- The general level of job satisfaction among heads of scientific departments at the University of Lahij Is high, indicating a good and strong state of satisfaction.

- All dimensions are strongly and positively related to job satisfaction, the strongest dimension is "organizational communication" (R = 0.868), followed by "collective work" (r = 0.840), this indicates that these two dimensions are the most in conjunction with the feelings of satisfaction with the heads of departments
